How does it work:

Back to our regular Sunday programming.

Before you’ve finished what might be your second cup of coffee, you’ll have read a few things to start your week the right way.

3 for your mind

Music: “So tell me everything is not about me But what if it is? Then say they didn't do it to hurt me But what if they did?” Whose Afraid of Little Old Me - Taylor Swift

Podcast: [From the 2023 archives of Something Shifted]
When Shelley realized that almost all of her relationships were unfulfilling, she came to conclusion that she was the common denominator. Today Shelly councils couples and colleagues to healthy, rewarding relationships through "art, science and practice.".

Book: The Five Types of Wealth: A Transformative Guide to Design Your Dream Life from entrepreneur, Sahil Bloom.
I have looked forward to flipping through this book ever since I saw Sahil share it on Instagram in 2024. Between his ice baths and motivational quips, he talks about loving the process and how he gave up a six-figure salary and staying in 5 star hotels, to be happy.
Throughout our lives we’ve been slowly indoctrinated to believe that money is the only type of wealth. When in reality, your life will be defined by everything else.
In the search for happiness, love wins again. [Recently gifted.]

2 for your body

Move: I pinched a nerve in my arm. The physio said I have to step away frm my desk more often. And since my bladder is smaller than my desire to get up in the middle of writing an email or editing an episode of the podcast, I’ve taken to drinking more water.
More water and more movement.
I’d call that a Win-Win.

Eat: Did you know that extra dark chocolate is actually incredibly healthy for your brain? Dr. Uma Naidoo says that chocolate made with more than 80% cacao is loaded with antioxidant flavanols. This helps to fight the damaging effects of oxidative stress in both the body and mind. Whats more, it also a source of magnesium, copper, iron and manganese!
No prizes for guessing who will be adding a slab of 80% cacao dark chocolate to their shopping basket this Valentines Day month.

P.S. Remember to use my code #SHIFT50 and you’ll get 50% your first Ucook order.
For example, instead of 1150 for 3 meals to feed 4 people, you’ll only pay 575.
That’s 48 bucks per plate! Or shop the wine, frozen foods or market sections.
Share the news with someone you love.

1 for your soul

Quote: Maya Angelou

“In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours.
In all the world, there is no love for you like mine.”

This week on Something Shifted:
Have you noticed how we tend to expect others to make lemonade out of their life quake? What if it that life quake is a lifelong disabilty? And how does a woman with cerbral palsy deal with labels, seeing Taylor Swift in concert and being a privelege to take care of?

Listen to “Whose afraid of little old me.” on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or YouTube Music.

Okay, now go have a great week.
Keep creating,
