3-2-1: Types of wealth

For your mind, body and soul

Hi friends,

Happy 3-2-1 Sunday!

Before you’ve finished what might be your second cup of coffee, you’ll have read a few things to start your week the right way.

3 for your mind

Music: Only a dreamer, could afford this point of view But you're a driver, not a passenger in life.’ You Are The Universe - Brand New Heavies.

Podcast: This Is Love. On The Way To Dinner is a heartwarming story about Danny who got off a train and noticed something on the ground as he exited the station.
It looked like a baby doll wrapped in a shirt. And then he saw the doll’s legs move. We might call this an example of social wealth.

Book: GIVEAWAY! A brand new copy of The Five Types of Wealth: A Transformative Guide to Design Your Dream Life from entrepreneur, Sahil Bloom could be yours.

I recently told you about this book and how much I have looked forward to flipping through it ever since Sahil shared it on Instagram last year. Between his ice baths and motivational quips, he talks about loving the process of rediscovering what is most important. Sahil says he gave up a six-figure salary and staying in 5 star hotels to be happy.

2 for your body

Move: To help build our physcial wealth - The Dead Bug. And because it’s almost Cape Town Cycle Tour time.

The dead bug exercise targets deep core stabilisers and helps reinforce the contralateral pattern—the same pattern your body follows while cycling.
1. Lie on your back
2. Extend your arms towards the ceiling, and bring your knees up to a 90-degree angle.
3. Slowly lower one arm and the opposite leg toward the floor while keeping your back flat.
4. Alternate sides for a controlled and steady burn.

Eat: Avocados to help calm anxiety. How, you might ask?

Research shows that avocados are:
1. Loaded with healthy fats. Omega-3’s and monounsaturated fatty acids help to reduce inflammation caused by free radicals.
2. Rich in fibre. Fibre is what good bacteria in the gut feed off of. Plus it helps regulate neurotransmitter function for reduced anxiety.
3. Avocados are also an excellent source of magnesium. This nutrient helps to nourish and calm the central nervous system.

An avocado a day might keep the mood swings at bay 😉

1 for your soul
